The goal of our preschool programs at the YMCA is to help grow and cultivate young children’s minds and bodies. We believe in creating and giving a positive experience to our youngest learners in a variety of programs while enriching their experiences. Whether you’re looking for a first time program with your child’s care giver or having your preschooler step out into a program by themselves we have a lot to offer throughout the year. Look for our seasonal preschool events and programs that will add to your enjoyment of each season.
The goal of our youth and teen programs at the YMCA is to provide a safe space for them to socialize, develop new interests, foster existing interests, and gain confidence and friendships. Our programs are focused on keeping your youth and teens engaged and excited, which is why we offer multiple special events throughout the year.
We have partnered with Tricycle Learning to provide 6 week workshops for the SAT and ACT, as well as other college admission planning workshops that will help teens prepare. Tricycle Learning Company adheres to the idea that that college process can be beautifully organic. Students in our program understand that in order to succeed, they need to remain calm and focused. Each course is a 6 week workshop to help teens master the SAT. It will focus on mathematics, writing, critical reading dealing with the pressure of the test, and overall performance. Sessions will occur prior to scheduled SAT test dates. All students will receive the Official SAT study guide, complete with 10 tests. They will also receive the Tricycle Learning College Prep Handbook, a one-stop guide for getting back to basics filled with helpful info, lessons outlines, and college prep worksheets.
