The Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA offers scholarships to those who qualify. Scholarships are available for both membership and programs and is made possible through contributions to our Annual Support Campaign.

Ages 3 – 18 and still in high school.
Two adults and children under the age of 26 who live in the same household.
College Memberships will be offered to full time college students. There is no development fee to join but proof of current college enrollment is required. For more information, please contact the Member Service Desk at 724-452-9122.
Individual men and women ages 18 and older. Children 5 and under are able to be on an individual membership with their parent.
One-Day Memberships can be obtained daily at the current day membership rate. Photo identification is required to obtain an Adult Day Membership. There is no fee for children under 6, but they must be accompanied by an adult. All One-Day Members will be asked to fill out a short form and have their picture taken upon their first visit. One-Day Memberships cover FACILITY USAGE. Information is available at the Membership Desk for guest program participation. Once a Day Membership is purchased, you must remain in the facility. There is no re-entry if you exit the building.
Non-members are limited to the use of 3 Guest Passes per year. Once this limit is reached, non-members can pay a One-Day Membership rate to use the facility.
*Youth/One-Day Guest Pass for youth 17 years and younger can be used only if accompanied by a member during their entire visit. Youth One-Day/Guest Pass who are not being accompanied by a member will not be allowed to enter the facility.
Seniors covered by AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan, Aetna, Coventry, Highmark’s Freedom Blue PPO or Security Blue HMO, Gateway, Humana, Independence Blue Cross & United Healthcare® insurance types are eligible to participate in the SilverSneakers® program. The program allows you a free adult YMCA membership. In addition, as a YMCA member through SilverSneakers®, you can take advantage of all the classes the YMCA offers, including both land and water classes specific to the SilverSneakers® program. When you come to the Y to register, please be sure to bring your insurance card with you.
SilverSneakers® group exercise classes are appropriate for older adults who are fit and active as well as those who are sedentary, intimidated, unfamiliar with exercise, entering post-rehabilitation programs and ALL those who enjoy a positive, upbeat social environment. SilverSneakers® members are also welcome to participate in any YMCA classes.
Make sure to bring your insurance card and photo ID with you!

Staying active is not only good for your body, it’s also good for your mind. Renew Active® is a fitness program designed for both, with the goal of helping Medicare members reach fitness goals and stimulate their brains. The program is available with select UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans and includes a membership at a participating fitness location at no extra cost and online exercises and activities to support brain health.

Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating YMCA in the United States through membership at your “home” YMCA (your home Y is the local association that enrolled you as a member and collects your membership dues).
