The curriculum teaches fun, creative, age-appropriate lessons that enhance intellectual, social, emotional, and fine and gross motor skill development of your child. Purposeful play and educational activities are designed to stimulate critical thinking skills, develop creativity, work on the basic concepts needed to develop reading and writing skills, and to develop positive social skills, such as cooperation and sharing. The YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are at the core of all programs and activities.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Twitty and I am so excited to begin this school year with your child. Teaching has always brought me great joy! Children have a natural curiosity for learning that makes teaching one of the best professions in the world. This is my 14th year of teaching children. I have been fortunate to have taught Early Childhood, 1st, 3rd, and 4th Grade as well as Gifted and Talented students. I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and a Master's Degree in Education. My amazing husband John and I have five beautiful children, Jade, Gabriella, Julianna, John III (TJ), and Jackson. In my spare time I enjoy reading and cooking. I cannot wait to begin to inspire and teach each child.
