We are excited now that we have officially reopened our doors for our members and community friends! 
As we welcome you back to the Y, we want to assure you that your health and well-being is our top priority. We have created guidelines and procedures to ensure that you feel comfortable and have a great member experience. That means things might look a little different when you walk through our doors.

Re-Opening Phase Plan

We have created the following guide to opening our facilities to best support your health and well-being.
 
Phase 1 (June 8th):
Wellness Centers (Members must practice social distancing)
Pools - Member Lap Lane and Warm Water Pool Reservation; Open to Summer Camp Kids
Sauna, Steam, and Whirlpool 
Locker Rooms (Members must practice social distancing)
Indoor Track (Members must practice social distancing)
Kids Clubhouse (Open to Summer Camp Kids ONLY)

 

Phase 2 (June 22nd)
Personal Training
Private Swim Lessons    
Group Exercise – Floor markings in Studios (Not Gyms)
  • Find our Summer Schedule here!
  • For ALL Classes:
    • Participants need to reserve a spot on the mobile app because we have a maximum capacity due to social distancing. If you do not have access to the mobile app, please contact Membership to reserve your spot.
    • Ages 14+ are welcome, 12-13 can attend with an adult
  • For Outdoor Classes:
    • Classes are canceled if it is raining
    • Participants must bring their own supplies for outdoor classes
    • Wear sunscreen!
  • For Indoor Classes:
    • Participants must bring their own mat
    • All classes within the same studio will have a minimum of 15 minutes between classes to allow for extra cleaning and sanitizing of equipment
    • Studio A will have an “In” door and an “Out” door to allow for social distancing
    • Capacity:
              - Cycle =15
              - Studio A =18 (Barre permits 30)
              - Studio B =10
Water Fitness
  • 20 max, as long as social distancing can be followed

Family Swim Time
  • Families can reserve a spot in the Warm Water or Family Fun Pools on select days and times. This time will be reserved for families only.
  • Your family may reserve a 45-minute time slot to swim in the Warm Water Pool or Family Fun Pools (2 families per pool, per time slot) on Tuesdays 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Fridays 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Saturdays 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM, or Sundays 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
Community Groups currently using the Y can be allowed back while practicing social distancing

Summer Operating Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 5:30am-10pm

Friday: 5:30am-8pm

Saturday: 5:30am-6pm

Sunday: 8am-3pm

 

The pools will be open during regular operating hours; however, you will need to reserve a lap lane in the lap pool as well as a sectioned off area in the warm water pool prior to swimming. Kidquarium will not be open at this time. 

Yes, but only if:

1. your child will be with you in a reserved lap lane in our pool. 

2. your child is 11 years or older in the Strength and Conditioning Center

Through our mobile app, you can reserve a spot in our lap pool, warm water pool, and group exercise classes. 

Reservations can be made up to three days in advance.

Yes, all areas listed will be open to our members. We ask that you continue to practice social distancing in these areas. 

Please enter and exit our facility through the front entrance only. 

Yes! We will be starting group exercise classes outdoors only first. We will gradually add new classes. 

We will be posting group exercise classes on our website and mobile app. Please be sure to download our mobile app to reserve your spot in the class. 

We will continue to offer our Virtual Y workouts while we prepare for our classes to resume a regular schedule. Click here to browse our virtual workouts. 

Using CDC recommendations, we will be conducting health screenings upon entrance, increasing our cleaning of high touch areas, requiring masks for YMCA staff, as well as providing many opportunities to promote social distancing. 

Face covering while visiting our facilities:

  • All visitors must wear a face covering upon entering and exiting the building, and it should remain on as you move throughout our facilities.
  • You are not required to wear a face covering while exercising or swimming, as this may impose health risks.
  • All YMCA Staff will continue to wear face coverings. Temperatures will continue to be taken prior to Staff and Members entering our facilities.
  • Please continue to practice social distancing throughout all areas of the facility. 

Our YMCA Staff will be wearing masks unless instructing or lifeguarding. 

The YMCA uses a commercial cleaning company that deep cleans the facility daily using all CDC recommended products.  We also have dedicated cleaning staff who will be sanitizing and cleaning during operating hours. We have increased our daily wiping of all high touch areas in the facility. 

We will be asking members to wipe the machine before and after use.  We will also be doing regular cleaning of high touch areas as well as deep commercial cleaning nightly. We have also moved equipment to provide more physical distancing.

Non-members will not be permitted to use our facility at this time.

During this time you will not be able to bring a friend who is not a member.  We will not be providing guest passes, day passes, or nationwide access to YMCA members outside of our Butler and Cranberry Branches.

Only Butler YMCA and Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA members will be able to access our facility at this time. We will not be accepting other YMCA members.
